AlcoholEdu uses science-based research and
interactive strategies, including personalized feedback, to
educate students about alcohol and its effects. Whether you
drink or not, the course can empower you to make well-informed
decisions about alcohol and help better manage drinking behavior
– your own, and/or that which may happen around you.
The course has two sections, both of which must be completed
between June 16 and September 19, 2008:
• Part One of the course takes
about 2-3 hours to complete. It is recommended that you take it
in multiple sittings. This section ends with an exam and
survey. You must earn a grade of 70% or higher to pass the
course.
The deadline for finishing Part One of AlcoholEdu for College is July 28, 2008.
• About one month after completing
the first section of the course, you will receive an email
reminding you to complete the Part Two of the course.
This section will take about 15 minutes.
You must complete Part Two to finish AlcoholEdu for College; the deadline for finishing this section of the course is September 19, 2008.
All responses are strictly confidential; UCLA staff members
will receive information only about the student body as a
whole and will never see individual students' answers. You
can feel confident that providing truthful answers -- no matter
what they are -- will not put you at any risk of repercussions.
